These sardines are delicious right out of the tin and are a wonderfully versatile culinary ingredient. Enjoy them mashed on crackers, crostini or toast, with a layer of mayo and top with sliced cucumber or avocado. For a mouthwatering dip to delight your guests, mix the sardines with light cream cheese or sour cream, capers, chopped shallots and pepper – and serve with salty tortilla chips or crusty bread. To create an Italian-inspired pasta, add them to a pan sauce of onions, garlic, capers and wilted spinach sautéed in olive oil. Top the cooked pasta with a squeeze of lemon and freshly toasted buttery breadcrumbs. Our sardines make delicious fish patties and quick and easy fish tacos – pan seared, or right out of the tin!
